St Soldier International Convent School , Mohali

To disseminate the knowledge of Energy Conservation and Energy Efficiency measures at grassroot level among student fraternity PEDA (Punjab Energy Development Agency) with the support of Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) in association with GMK Infra Solutions LLP organised a debate on the theme “Energy Conservation & Energy Efficiency”. As many as 13 teams participated enthusiastically. Karan Kandhari, PEDA official, apprised the audience about the measures taken by the government to propagate the ways of energy conservation and energy efficiency. Akshit Moudgil bagged the first prize. He was awarded Rs 1,100 and a certificate followed by Arshnoor who received a cash prize of Rs 750. The third prize was obtained by Soumyadiya Ganguly who received Rs 500. The competitors spoke so zealously that the judges had to declare a consolation prize which was clinched by Mehakdeep Kaur.

Amity International School, Mohali

Students created goals for themselves through the SMART Goal setting technique for the upcoming final examinations. SMART is an acronym that stands for specific, measurable, achievable, relevant/ realistic, and time-bound goals. Students incorporated all these attributes to help focus on their efforts and increase their chances of achieving their goals. The school counsellor interacted with students regarding their perception and preparations for exams. Principal Urvashi Kakkar said the goal setting may seem tough, but by taking one step at a time, the students shall accomplish their goals with ease.

DAV School, Nagrota Suriyan

Students of Class XI organised a farewell party for Class XII students.  A variety of fun games were organised.  Students of Class XI Ameesha, Geetanshi, Aniket, Agrim, Akshit, Tanvi entertained the students.  Aditya Guleria was chosen Mr Farewell, Akshita Miss Farewell, Hope of DAV Anuj and DAV star Jahnavi, farewell Personality Vanshika, besides Rishika and Tasubh, best disciplined student.  Principal Ekta Attri extended best wishes for the bright future of students and asked them to remain progressive. 

 Solitaire International School, Panchkula

To make young students acquainted with the concept of home, an interesting activity was conducted on the premises. The main objective of the activity was to make students realize the importance of a home. To develop the value of gratitude among the students, role of a family was beautifully highlighted. Class discussion was followed by a craft activity where in students crafted their dream home and shared their views by speaking a few sentences on the topic – ‘Why I love my Home’. Effort of the students and teachers were highly appreciated by the school management.

Mount Carmel School, Mohali

Students of Class VIII gave an online science presentation on Solar System. Students prepared descriptive powerpoint presentations and explained about planets, comets, pole star, constellations and light year. At the end of the presentation session, Anthra and Gursameep hosted a short quiz on the discussed topics. Students had an informative session.
