Teacher’s Day celebrated at DAV School, Rupnagar
The school celebrated Teacher’s Day. In the morning assembly, students presented poetry, speech and songs on teachers. A poster-making competition was conducted for students. Principal Sangeeta Rani shed light on the life of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. She told the students why Teacher’s Day is celebrated. Punjabi teacher Iqbal Singh told the students what is the importance of teacher in student’s life. Schoolteacher Neelu Malhotra was honoured with the Nation Builder Award by Rotary Club president and his team. The students congratulated teachers by showering flowers.
