Tree plantation drive at DAV Model School, Sector 8, Panchkula

On World Environment Day, the school reaffirmed its commitment to sustainability and ecological harmony by organising a symbolic and spiritually significant tree plantation drive. The event was graced by Principal Ritu Dilbagi, along with the ministerial staff and support staff of the school, who came together with enthusiasm and reverence for nature to plant the sacred Triveni — a trio of neem (Azadirachta indica), peepal (Ficus religiosa), and bargad (Ficus benghalensis) trees. The Trivani, deeply rooted in Indian culture and environmental philosophy, holds immense ecological and spiritual importance. These three trees, when planted together, are believed to create a powerful ecosystem that not only supports biodiversity but also symbolises the harmony between nature, human life, and divine presence.
