Valley school inaugurates NIOS Study Centre

Valley Public School, Sector 5-C, MDC, Panchkula, organised a function to inaugurate its newly established NIOS Study Centre. The event was held on the school premises. The programme began with a welcome for the guests. The chief guest, Dr RC Mishra, IPS (Former DGP, Haryana and Chairperson, Haryana State Police Complaints Authority), inaugurated the NIOS Study Centre. Addressing the gathering, he emphasised the importance of alternative education and urged students to pursue learning with dedication and honesty. The guest of honour, S Mahendran, Regional Director, NIOS, Chandigarh, highlighted the role of National Institute of Open Schooling in providing flexible learning opportunities to students unable to attend regular schools. He appreciated the initiative taken by the school in opening the study centre. The chairman, RS Malik (IAS Retired), expressed gratitude to the guests for their presence. The function concluded with a vote of thanks by the principal, S Umamaheswari. The inauguration of the NIOS Study Centre marked an important step towards promoting inclusive and flexible education in the region.
