Vasant Valley Public School, Sangrur

The school’s pre-primary students celebrated Environment Day. Tiny tots utilised their summer vacation by growing tiny gardens in pots. With eager hands and big smiles, they carefully placed seeds in soil and watered them throughout vacation. By planting and caring for their own plants, they learnt about responsibility, growth, and the interconnectedness of the ecosystem. This activity taught them about the lifecycle of plants and the value of nurturing the environment. The “Plant-in-a-pot” activity on Environment Day is a wonderful way to teach them about the importance of taking care of the planet. Principal Anitha Rajagopalan felt proud of the tiny tots taking their first steps towards becoming eco-conscious citizens.
