Testing Times

 True, the time is tough,

And made us all shake

With the virus all over,

We also had a quake!

Cyclones are there –

The weather is strange

It seems nature is upset

And wants us to change

We have hurt Mother-Earth;

Atonement we need!

This is God’s indication,

To which we should pay heed

So come on Team Scholars

We should do our best

And pass with flying colours

The Almighty’s test!

We have stood together

Through many a storm

These are testing times

Again we will perform

There is no doubt about it

That things seem so glum

But if we join our hands,

We shall overcome!

A Truly Wonderful Teacher!

Dhriti Kashyap, Class IX, The Gurukul, Zirakpur

A teacher is just like a beaver, A beaver builds a dam to control the water,

Similarly, a teacher builds a bond to oversee her students.

She gives them the shape of a firm candle,

Just like an artist of candles would do to a molten wax.

If these qualities are there in a teacher,

Then she is our leader too!

When I saw you,

I got the vibe of a bond between us two.

Your words had some certain vibes, Which assured me,

That you were the teacher who would show me a wonderful way.

You always lend me a hand,

Whenever I was blank,

In some situations,

You never let my train get off the track,

You push me away, way before than that.

You are the most wonderful teacher, I have ever seen.

And the most wonderful person I could ever dream!
