Shivalik Public School, Patiala, organised a ‘Workshop on Gender Sensitivity’ to promote awareness, equality, and inclusivity in the educational environment. The workshop was conducted by resource persons Harpreet Pandher and Vivek Tiwari, who addressed important gender-related issues with clarity, sensitivity, and practical insight. The session focused on the themes, like difference between sex and gender, helping participants understand biological identity and social roles; gender issues in the classroom, highlighting fairness, equal participation, and respectful interactions; gender inequality, discussing its impact on education and society; gender stereotypes, encouraging students and teachers to challenge biased thinking; gender sensitivity in schools, promoting respectful behaviour and inclusive practices. The workshop was highly informative and impactful, enabling students and teachers to develop a broader perspective on gender equality and social responsibility.
