Sources said phone call details of Amandeep were being scanned by the STF officials to find out his connection with others.

The AIG STF, Snehdeep Sharma, said further investigation into the links of the SHO was on so that his whole network could be exposed. The STF in-charge of Ludhiana, Harbans Singh, said let further questioning of the SHO complete, only then anything vital could be divulged about his links with other smugglers or about his connivance with other cops.

Notably, the SHO was arrested by the STF with 10.35 gram heroin he had recovered from five criminals after their arrest. The criminals were later let off by the SHO after taking a few thousands from them as bribe. However, the SHO kept the heroin recovered from them in his custody and asked the criminals to bring more money if they wanted to get their Swift car and six mobile phones.
