Some unidentified assailants fired at Shiv Sena Hindustan leader Amit Arora’s car parked outside his office on Chandigarh Road here on Saturday night.
Aurora was sitting inside his office hence he didn’t suffer any bullet injury.
As the news spread senior cops reached the spot and started the probe.
Arora said today he was present in his office and his Ford Endeavour car was parked outside. His gunmen were sitting with him. Arora suddenly heard gunshots being fired and when he went out he saw bullets marks on his car.
Arora had earlier faced charges of faking attack on him when target killings were taking place in Punjab. During the NIA probe, it came to light that Arora was attacked by terrorist.
Police Commissioner Rakash Agrawal said a bullet mark was found on his car and even a lid of bullet was also recovered. “We are probing the matter, nothing could be said at this moment,” the CP said.
Sources said police are suspecting that Arora may be faking attack to get more security.
