Ludhiana SAI selection trials on Feb 20-22

LUDHIANA:The Sports Authority of India (SAI) Training Centre, Ludhiana, will hold trials to select sportspersons in five individual sports disciplines at the Guru Nanak Stadium here from February 20 to 22.

The Sports Authority of India (SAI) Training Centre, Ludhiana, will hold trials to select sportspersons in five individual sports disciplines at the Guru Nanak Stadium here from February 20 to 22. Aspirants between 12 and 18 years of age are eligible to attend the trials, which will be conducted in athletics, judo, weightlifting, table tennis and handball. For handball, only boys between 10 and 14 years of age can appear in the trials. The trials will be conducted for residential (boys) and day-boarding (boys and girls) schemes of SAI.

Sportspersons who have achieved the first three positions in state and national level competitions will be preferred. The registration of aspirants will start at 9.30am on February 20 at the indoor hall opposite Guru Nanak Stadium. The aspirants are advised to bring along age proof certificates, sports achievements certificates and Adhaar Card. — OC
