Mumbai U-16 skipper banned for obscenity

MUMBAI:The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) has said its decision to impose a three-year ban on Mumbai Under-16 captain Musheer Khan for his obscene behaviour would act as a deterrent for other players.

Mumbai, January 18

The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) has said its decision to impose a three-year ban on Mumbai Under-16 captain Musheer Khan for his obscene behaviour would act as a deterrent for other players. Khan invited the ban after his teammates complained to MCA that he had indulged in “obscene behaviour” during their Vijay Merchant quarterfinal in December.

Khan is the younger brother of Sarfaraz Khan, who has represented India in U-19 team. “The ban would act as a deterrent for other players, who would think multiple times before indulging in any such actions,” said a senior MCA official. — PTI
