Sports journalist and author Boria Majumdar on Monday posted a clipping of former Team India skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni crooning the opening lines of famous Bollywood classic song ‘Main Pal Do Pal Ka Shayar Hoon’, with Twitterati praising the cricketer.

Majumdar posted the clipping on @BoriaMajumdar and wrote: “As I said yesterday it was a very relaxed conversation. First at the event and then for an hour and a half off the camera on all things cricket. Will definitely write at some point. Here is @msdhoni singing his favourite two lines. We talked about him as a father, husband, son and all else.” The post got 6K views and 902 likes.

In reply to @BoriaMajumdar and @msdhoni, one user said: “Mahi love you”.

One Dhoni fan gushed: “Amazing human, clear- minded and soft-hearted”.

Another said: “The man who has more seconds than others. More fractions of seconds than others. No wonder ‘pal do pal ka shayar hun’ is the song of his life.” One fan expressed his wish to see the cricketer once again on the field.

Many Twitter users sought to know where they could watch the full video of the interaction between the two. IANS
