Tiny tots take part in a sports event at InnoKids in Jalandhar.



Jalandhar: A sports week was celebrated at InnoKids. Tiny tots took part in sports activities with zeal. Mothers of the students were also invited. Nursery students were told about healthy food, importance of yoga and its postures. Students left their mothers awestruck with their hula hoop dance and other innovative activities. Various races like fairy race, throw and run race, selfie queen race, pick and run race, hurdle race, run with flower race, wear and run race, car race, drag the ball race were also organised. Shally Bowry, executive director,chools congratulated the winners and their parents.

Farewell party

Jalandhar: Tagore’s International Smart School organised a farewell party for Class XII students on its premises. Dean Vinod Shashi Jain, and principal Ruchika Jain performed the lamp lighting ceremony. Students were dressed in beautiful and colourful attires. Various cultural items, including group dance and farewell songs were presented by the students. Certain one-minute games were played by students as well as teachers, including modelling by cat walk and tiger walk respectively by girls and boys. The students expressed their emotions for the school and teachers and how they are feeling while leaving the school. The students and teachers danced on the beats of DJ and had a lot of fun.

Jalandhar: To overcome stress and anxiety caused during exams and competitions, an interactive workshop on stress management and exam anxiety was organised in Mayor World School for the students of Classes X and XII. Navtinder (lecturer Psychology) conducted the workshop. She said anxiety was a part of human nature, but it is important to know how to overcome it. She talked about the types of stress and how to deal with them by giving real life examples, to help students relate and understand. She also emphasised on the stress relaxation therapies like practicing yoga, walking and using scents or gum, which can be easily followed by the students. She dealt at length with the ‘three Ps i.e. planning, preparation and practice to help overcome any challenge and highlighted the importance of being organised in life with a well-defined goal.

Session on exam preparedness

Jalandhar: An information session on examination preparation was organised by teachers of Seth Hukam Chand SD Public Senior Secondary School. The session acquainted the teachers with the latest development of CBSE regarding the conduction of Board Examination for Classes X and XII. Instructions regarding the conduct of students and parents were also discussed. It was also discussed that parents and students should not spread rumours and for any query they can contact CBSE. Examinations should be taken in a stress-free environment. The parents and teachers should help students to take the exam without stress. Principal Priyanka Sharma said for efficient working, proper guidelines are very important. TNS
