“The world's biggest stage. An even bigger purpose,” read the announcement shared by the official FIFA World Cup account on X.

As if that wasn’t enough, what truly sent netizens into a frenzy was the iconic star-studded line-up of performers — starting with none other than pop legend Madonna.

The legendary singer is set to share the stage with Shakira and global K-pop sensation BTS.

“On July 19, the FIFA World Cup 2026 Final Halftime Show is coming to New York New Jersey Stadium, featuring superstars @Madonna, @shakira, and @bts_bighit, curated by Chris Martin of Coldplay,” the post read.

Celebrated singer Chris Martin is set to oversee the overall vision, concept and flow of the show.

Fans quickly flooded social media with excitement.

“Madonna made VMAs a thing. Madonna made Coachella a thing. Madonna made the Super Bowl a thing. Madonna made Copacabana a thing. This woman is the definition of longevity. Imagine still being in the game pushing boundaries this hard — incredible!” one X user wrote.

“Bro, what do you mean BTS with the queens Madonna and Shakira?!” another fan reacted.

Several fans called it a “once-in-a-lifetime show” bringing together some of the biggest names in global music.

FIFA also announced that USD 1 from every ticket sold during the tournament will go towards an international education and football initiative.

“A FIFA World Cup first, the halftime show supports the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, a landmark initiative working to raise USD 100 million to expand access to quality education and football for children around the world,” the statement added.

Authorities confirmed that throughout the tournament, USD 1 from every ticket sold will be donated to the fund.

This is going to be 'epic and unforgettable', as one X user quipped!
