Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen has undergone a successful surgery after suffering a complete rupture of the patella tendon in his right knee, the LaLiga club said. The 32-year-old Germany international picked up the injury during Barcelona’s 5-1 win at Villarreal in LaLiga on Sunday.

Maharashtra government allots plot to Rahane
The Maharashtra cabinet approved the transfer of a 2,000 square metres land parcel in the Bandra area on lease to Ajinkya Rahane to develop a sports complex. The plot was originally allotted to Sunil Gavaskar in 1988 for setting up an indoor training academy but the cricketer could not utilise it for more than 30 years.
