New Delhi: Indian boxer Kalaivani Srinivasan stormed into the final with a dominating victory while Kuldeep Kumar progressed to the semifinals of the Elorda Cup in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan, today. Kalaivani won by a unanimous decisionin the women’s 48kg category. Kuldeep grabbed a 3-2 win in the men’s 48kg quarterfinal contest.

Avani, Diksha and Ridhima make cut in Germany
Amateur Avani Prashanth, playing her first Ladies European Tour event outside India, battled it out to make the cut at the Amundi German Masters. Avani, who shot a 72 in the first round added a 74 in the second to be tied-58th. Also making the cut was Diksha Dagar (72-73), she was tied 48th. Ridhima Dilawari also made the cutline which fell at 2-over.

Shubhankar misses Irish Open cut with 3-over
India’s Shubhankar Sharma seemed all set for a fine second round after a solid first day as he had a birdie-birdie start from the 10th in the second round of Horizon Irish Open. However, a series of bogeys let him down as he finished at 3-over for the day, which was good enough only for tied- 89th.
