Steeplechaser Avinash Sable and race walker Priyanka Goswami maintained India's medal-winning run in track and field as they bagged silver medals in their respective disciplines at the Commonwealth Games today.
Sable broke his own national record on way to winning silver in the 3,000 metres steeplechase, while Goswami clinched silver in the women's 10,000m race walk event.
The 27-year-old Sable clocked 8 minutes and 11.20 seconds to better his earlier national record of 8:12.48, finishing behind Kenyan Abraham Kibiwot (8:11.15).
