Udaipur, February 1
Sikh Regiment (Jalandhar) and Air Force (Delhi) reached the final of the Mohan Kumar Mangalam Football tournament at Zavar Mines, around 40km from here.
In the first semifinal, Sikh Regiment (Jalandhar) beat Kolkata’s MSA Football Club 4-0. Balwinder Singh (fifth minute), Balbir (43rd), Balbir Singh (66th) and Gurvinder Singh (73rd) scored the goals.
The same scoreline was witnessed in the second semifinal, in which Air Force (Delhi) beat Union Bank of India (Mumbai). Devendra Singh, Prabhjot Singh, Devendra Singh and Sourav scored for the winners.
The final will be played tomorrow, and former Olympian player Ajit Singh will be the chief guest. — TNS
