Nagpur-based sports journalist Ruchir Mishra died after battling Covid-19 for the last 10 days. Mishra, who was 42, is survived by his wife and two children. An authority on domestic and age-group cricket, Mishra had brought into prominence several young cricketers from Vidarbha and Madhya Pradesh. Wasim Jaffer, who was part of Vidarbha’s Nagpur-based Ranji and Irani Trophy-winning squads, expressed shock at the news. “This is just so sad… I got to know him during my stint with Vidarbha,” Jaffer wrote on Twitter.
