New Delhi, February 17

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and his Cabinet colleagues took charge of their respective offices today and asserted they would work to fulfil the promises made in the “guarantee card” released during the poll campaign.

Kejriwal will not handle any department, unlike the previous tenure wherein he handled Delhi Jal Board.

The CM will oversee the operational processes and functioning of all departments. He will also ensure interactions with public to resolve grievances and induce communication between his government and public.

Deputy CM Manish Sisodia was allocated the ministries of Education, Finance, Planning, Land & Building, Vigilance, Services, Tourism, Art, Culture & Language and all other departments not specifically allocated to any minister.

Gopal Rai has been allocated the departments of Employment, Development, Labour and General Administration Department, Environment, Forest and Wildlife.

The Water department has been shifted to Satyendra Jain. He will also handle the departments of Health, Industries, Public Works Department, Power, Home, Urban Development and Irrigation & Flood Control.
