DRAFT PLAN NOT SATISFACTORY

NEW DELHI, April 18 (PTI)—Three non-Congress CMs, Mr. E.M.S. Namboodiripad, Mr. Ajay Mukherjee and Mr. M. Karunanidhi, today expressed the view that the draft Fourth Five Year Plan would not take the country any nearer its proclaimed economic goals. They gave their views at an informal meeting of the CMs of all States convened by the PM, Mrs. Indira Gandhi, on the eve of the momentous meeting of the National Development Council. Earlier in the day, she had informal exchange of views with CMs belonging to the Congress. The Deputy CM of West Bengal, Mr. Jyoti Basu, said it looked as if monopolies would continue and the common man would not be benefited.
