Extravagant Expenditure in England.

NOTHING done by the Lloyd George Ministry in England has come in for more criticism than the huge increase in expenditure in the ministerial establishments. We are told that as one Ministry diminishes, another expands. An important case is said to be that of the Pensions Ministry. A new creation with a staff of over 18,000 persons, and an administration that is the subject of constant complaint. The Westminster Gazette enquired of the largest insurance company in England what staff it employed and found that it employed only 5,000 men and women to deal with 22,000,000 clients.
