Milk Supply of Lahore.

One of the crying needs of Lahore at the present hour is the supply of good, pure, unadulterated milk at reasonable price. Complaints are pouring in on us from all quarters that prohibitive rates are ruling in the market for this commodity whose need was never greater than in the time of the grave emergency created by the Influenza epidemic. It is hard that men, women and children suffering from the disease should be turned away from the milk-seller’s shop because no milk can be had, it is little short of pathetic that they should turn away disappointed to find that the quality of milk that is available, is beyond their means to secure. This is a sad state of things in the capital of the Province which if not tackled soon, will only foster the ravages of the disease which has been taking a heavy toll.
