HIS Excellency the Governor of Bombay while presiding over the annual day of the Deccan College, Poona, called the attention to the need for economic education. He referred to various schemes of industrial expansion which would soon call for the services of young men trained for new posts. Government was engaged in assisting students to obtain training and to provide extended facilities for economic education, not only in colleges, but also in schools, which could furnish a better class of mechanics able to handle modern tools and machinery.
