The Foreign Secretary also held substantive consultations with senior White House officials, including National Security Council leadership. Deliberations focused on developments in West Asia and the Indian Ocean region -- areas of growing strategic convergence between the two countries.

In a separate meeting with Under Secretary Jacob Helberg, Misri explored pathways to deepen cooperation in critical and emerging technologies. The talks underscored the importance of resilient supply chains and expanded collaboration in semiconductors, critical minerals, quantum technologies, artificial intelligence and nuclear energy. Progress under the Pax Silica initiative also came up for review.

Extending outreach beyond official channels, Misri engaged with leading voices from Washington’s strategic community. The interactions centred on the evolving trajectory of India-US relations and the wider implications of global geopolitical shifts on energy, food and economic security.

Further strengthening the energy pillar of the partnership, Misri called on US Energy Secretary Chris Wright. Discussions focused on advancing energy security, expanding bilateral energy trade and identifying new avenues for cooperation under the India-US Energy Partnership.
