'It's Trisha everywhere': Vijay’s rumoured girlfriend, parents glow with pride at oath-taking event

Though C Joseph Vijay was the obvious star of his swearing-in ceremony as the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister in Chennai on Sunday, another person who grabbed eyeballs at the glittering Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium was actor Trisha.
Trisha is rumoured to be Vijay’s girlfriend amid his estranged relations with his wife Sankgeetha Sornalingam.
Dressed in a blue silk saree, with a gajra completing her traditional look, she looked visibly over the moon as she greeted people and waved enthusiastically to other invitees at the event.
An X user wrote, "It’s Trisha everywhere. She didn’t contest the election. She isn’t an elected MLA. She doesn’t know the P of politics. Yet, it feels like today’s oath-taking ceremony belongs to Trisha."

Vijay's parents, SA Chandrasekhar and Shobha, too, were seen glowing with pride as one of the most distinguished guests on the occasion.
Conspicuous by their absence were Vijay’s wife Sankgeetha Sornalingam and children Jason and Divya. Vijay's wife had filed for a divorce in March, when the election campaigns in Tamil Nadu were in full swing.
She had accused Vijay of infidelity, alleging that he was involved in an extramarital relationship with a fellow actor.
