Bangladeshi adult actress arrested in India for alleged fake passport
Riya Barde, also known as Arohi Barde, a Bangladeshi adult actress, was arrested by the Hill Line police in Ulhasnagar, about 50 km from Mumbai, for allegedly using a fake Indian passport to reside in India. Acting on a tip, police investigated a Bangladeshi family in Ambernath, Nevali, suspected of living with forged documents.
The probe revealed that an Amravati resident had created fake documents for Riya and three associates, facilitating their stay in India. Consequently, the Hill Line police registered a case against Riya and four others under Section 14(A) of the Foreigners Act, 1946, and the IPC.
A search is underway for the four other individuals involved. Reports indicate Riya’s parents are currently in Qatar.
This incident comes after a similar case in Thane, Maharashtra, earlier this year, where a 23-year-old woman, Nagma Noor Maksood Ali (also known as Sanam Khan), was accused of travelling to Pakistan using a fake passport and visa obtained through forged documents.
