A social media user commented, ‘Nirmalaji dekh rahi hai… ab lagega influencers pe bhi tax’. Another added, ‘Stop calling them influencers.’ A third wrote, ‘He could have just given the money to the lady with the baby. That would have been more helpful.’
Another expressed, ‘It is so unsafe. He should be arrested. People can lose their lives. It’s an open road with traffic.’
According to reports by the Times of India (TOI), police arrested Vamshi after the video went viral. Shiva Bhaskar, ACP, Kukatpally division, said, “Suo motu cases were registered against the accused identified as Kurapati Vamshi (23), with Instagram name Harsha at KPHB, Kukatpally and Sanath Nagar police station of Cyberabad. He has been charged with creating nuisance on the road, rash and negligent acts, and obstruction of traffic movement.” Vamshi has since been remanded to 14-day judicial custody.
This is not the first time he has stirred controversy. Earlier, he faced backlash for a video in which he was seen distributing liquor on the streets. His Instagram page is filled with similar stunts, which many have labelled as reckless. Despite the criticism, Vamshi continues to share content.
