In the video, Kailash is seen drinking pomegranate juice at a street stall, insisting on paying for it, but the vendor refuses to accept his money.
The Instagram video was captioned "Why Everything Is Free For Indians in Afghanistan".
Kailash insisted on paying for the drink, urging the vendor not to give it to him for free: “Mehmaan nahi, ek baat bataaun? Yeh aapka dhanda hai. Aise nahi hota hai. Bataao, kitna. Paise lene padhenge (Not as a guest, let me tell you something. This is your business. It shouldn’t work like this. Tell me how much. You have to take the money).”
Despite Kailash's persistence, the vendor and locals around him reassured him that Indians are treated with respect and love in Afghanistan. One of them said, "India mehmaan hai. Hindustan bohat achcha" (India is our guest. Hindustan is very good), leaving Kailash emotional.
The gesture left Kailash emotional. He hugged the vendors and several locals around him and said, “Waapas aayenge hum. Yeh hai Afghanistan ki mehmaan nawaazi. Aaplog bohat achche ho (I will come again. This is Afghanistan’s hospitality. You people are very good).”
The video has gone viral on social media, with viewers praising the kindness and generosity of Afghan citizens. Many commented that ordinary people on both sides continue to uphold bonds of goodwill, compassion, and humanity, even beyond borders and politics.
