A young schoolboy has gone viral on social media for his spontaneous reaction when the national anthem began playing during school hours.

In an undated video circulating on Instagram, students can be seen in a playground when the Anthem suddenly starts. As expected, the children quickly stop and stand in attention. But one boy’s reaction has caught the internet’s attention.

The child, who was running across the ground, instantly froze mid-stride the moment the anthem began. With one leg lifted, body leaning forward and arms stiff in motion, he held the exact running posture instead of adjusting himself into a standing position.

Many users praised the child’s instinctive reaction. “That’s called national spirit,” one comment read. Another wrote, “Values start young. A tiny citizen showing big respect for the National Anthem.” Some called it “the height of patriotism ,” while a third declared, “He will be the flag bearer of our nation. Salute to this kid.”

At the same time, the internet couldn’t resist the humour of the frozen pose. “Pose – 50% emotion – 200%,” joked one viewer. Another chimed in, “I have been in this position when I was a kid.”
