‘Unwell’ Steve Jobs’ wife recovers after taking Shahi Snan on Makar Sakranti
Two days after Laurene Powell Jobs, wife of late Apple co-founder Steve Jobs, arrived in Prayagraj to attend the Maha Kumbh Mela, the billionaire fell sick after she developed some allergies on Tuesday. However, PTI reports suggest that she is recovering after taking Shahi Snan in the Ganga.
Sharing details, Swami Kailashanand said she was at his shivir, adding that she had never been to such a crowded place before and had developed allergies.
“Laurene was briefly unwell, but is feeling better after ‘Ganga Snan’ and rest. Her enthusiasm to delve deeper into the Sanatan Dharma remains strong,” the government’s statement quoted Swami Kailashanand.
Laurene had arrived in India last week to take part in the Maha Kumbh Mela, which is one of the most sacred and largest Hindu gatherings. The Maha Kumbh is a rare occurrence as it takes place after every 144 years, marking the completion of 12 Kumbh Mela cycles.
