Ritu Rathee, wife of YouTuber Gaurav Taneja, has addressed rumours of their separation in a video on Instagram, calling for social media users to respect their privacy.

Rathee, who married Taneja in 2016, captioned the video ‘Reality’.

Rathee’s statement follows a cryptic post from Taneja, also known as ‘Flying Beast,’ over the weekend as several sections of the internet sparked rumours that the couple was experiencing a rough patch in their marriage.

Addressing the situation, Rathee said, “Whatever it is, it is my personal issue. If I had to place it publicly, my dear Ritu’s army, I have Instagram to announce. We had an altercation, but does that mean you will tell me what kind of man he is.”

She further said, “There are very few people who deserve respect. I know that man inside and out. I don’t need to know whether he was genuine or loyal from you. I have seen that man fighting in every situation. This is a problem of our society, and we have to interfere in others’ problems. I don’t need social media support.”

“A husband and wife have to deal with several things together. Sometimes, there are things that might hurt you. And this time, it hurt me and him as well. He thought he was right; I felt I was. We both became stubborn,” she admitted.

In her heartfelt message, Rathee criticised social media’s involvement in her private life and made it clear that she didn’t need public support or validation.

“I handled this society when I became a pilot, so this issue is far lesser compared to that. I don’t need society’s support in any way. I am not a weak woman, and nothing wrong has happened to me. I have full faith in God. I don’t need this ‘social media support’,” she said.
