On April Fool's Day, quick-commerce platform Zepto seized the perfect opportunity to pull off a witty prank by showcasing classic Indian snacks that have been discontinued, tricking many users into thinking their favorite treats had returned. The nostalgic power of these products is no joke, just ask anyone who grew up eating Cadbury Bytes or Hippo chips.

The app displayed these snacks on April 1st. Upon adding them to one’s cart, a message saying, "You've Been Fooled!" appeared. It then said, "Happy April Fool's Day," followed by "Go prank your friends now."

A video of one costumer who fell for the prank has gone viral on Instagram, garnering more than 2 million views in less than 24 hours. In it, she shows viewers her excitement and eventual disappointment upon realizing that the snacks weren’t actually back. Many users shared her sentiments in the comments section.
