Uttarakhand will get a CBSE training centre, which will be opened in state capital Dehradun.

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Regional Director Ranveer Singh met Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat on Tuesday and informed him about opening of CBSE training centre in Dehradun. He apprised that the Central government had sanctioned an amount of Rs 20 crore for the training centre.

In his interaction with CBSC Regional Director, the Chief Minister gave his consent for allotment of land for the training centre and instructed the District Magistrate to prepare a proposal in this regard.

Thanking him for land allotment, the Regional Director also appreciated the Chief Minister for earlier allotting land for opening of the CBSE regional office. He apprised that the regional wing of the CBSE looks after the work of as many as 700 schools in Uttarakhand and 1100 schools in western Uttar Pradesh.

He said that after the opening of the regional office in Dehradun, it will benefit all the CBSE affiliated schools, students and public in general. 

The training centre helps in making provisions for various training programmes for teachers and principals to enhance their understanding of the curriculum and delivery mechanism and other professional qualities.
