Rajaji reserve staff to boycott census

DEHRADUN: Field employees of the Forest Department working with the Rajaji Tiger Reserve have decided to boycott the wildlife census to begin shortly in the park to protest the delay in payment of salary for November.

Field employees of the Forest Department working with the Rajaji Tiger Reserve have decided to boycott the wildlife census to begin shortly in the park to protest the delay in payment of salary for November.

Indermohan Kothari, president of Forest Employees Association, said the Rajaji Tiger Reserve field employees were still to get their salaries for November, which was a matter of concern. There had been delay in payment of salaries in the past too, he alleged.

Mayamohan Kandwal said the field employees were provided BSNL sim cards some time back and the Forest Department had then assured to pay for the mobile phone bills.
