One killed in road mishap

Dehradun, July 12

One person was killed and three others were injured when a vehicle fell into a gorge on Yamunotri highway in Jausar Bavar area of Dehradun. The accident took place on Wednesday when the vehicle was coming from Jausar Bavar to Vikasnagar. The driver lost the control of steering at Lakwar bend and the vehicle fell into a deep gorge leading to the death of one Jai Bahadur. The deceased was 41.

Police team, who got to know of the mishap, pulled out the dead body of Jai Bahadur and rescued the three others, who were also injured in the mishap. Among three injured were identified as Prem, Bhagat and Bablu all residents of Chakrata. All the three were admitted to Vikasnagar Health Centre for treatment. — TNS
