Singapore, Panama likely to invest in Uttarakhand

DEHRADUN:Uttarakhand could witness investments from countries like Singapore and Panama as representatives of the two countries, who were in the state, have expressed their interest for the same.

Uttarakhand could witness investments from countries like Singapore and Panama as representatives of the two countries, who were in the state, have expressed their interest for the same.

Indian Ambassador to Panama Ravi Thapar and Indian High Commissioner to Singapore Jawed Ashraf conducted a meeting with Chief Minister Trivendra Rawat and also Chief Secretary Utpal Kumar Singh and explored possibility of investments in the state in various sectors such as higher education, agriculture, animal husbandry, food processing and skill development.

 Ravi Thapar said Panama investors would be interested in education, dairy and tourism. On the other hand, Jawed Ashraf said Singapore could play a significant role towards skill development.
