Two leopards were caged in different parts of Dehradun today. Forest guards spotted a leopard in the Motichur range of Raiwala. The leopard entered the Danda belt of the range and was about to attack the cattle there when it was tranquilised and caged. Another leopard was caged in the Satyanarayan area of Raiwala.

In the morning, villagers saw a leopard trapped in the cage. They reported the matter to forest officials. Both the leopards were taken to the Chila range of the Rajaji Tiger Reserve.  Warden Pradeep Kumar said it was yet to be ascertained whether the cats were involved in any attack on humans.
