UP man held with drugs in Chamoli

GOPESHWAR:A man from Uttar Pradesh was arrested with 428 gram of charas in Uttarakhand’s Chamoli district, the police said on Monday.



Gopeshwar, January 7 

A man from Uttar Pradesh was arrested with 428 gram of charas in Uttarakhand’s Chamoli district, the police said on Monday.

The accused, Nishant Rathore, was intercepted and later arrested from Pokhari Band here after the recovery of charas, Chamoli police spokesperson Ajay Rawat said.

Rathore hails from Saharanpur district of Uttar Pradesh. A case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered against Rathore. —PTI
