A major accident was avoided in Uttarakhand on Friday after a motor-powered tourist boat climbed and crossed over another tourist boat in the Alaknanda River near Dhari Devi Temple in Srinagar, Pauri district.

Fortunately, a major tragedy was averted as no passengers were on board at the time of the incident.

Soon after the boats collided, one boat operator lost balance and jumped into the river. A video of the incident has gone viral on social media, showing one boat speeding and climbing over another vessel in the middle of the river.
