Working to make Gairsain the summer capital: CM

DEHRADUN:Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat today asserted that the state government was working in the direction of making Gairsain the summer capital of the state.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat today asserted that the state government was working in the direction of making Gairsain the summer capital of the state.

Addressing a fair on agriculture, horticulture and tourism in Chamoli district of the state, Rawat asserted that his government was committed to the overall development of Uttarakhand and was working in the direction of making Gairsain the  summer capital of Uttarkahand. 

He said hilly villages like Ghes, Himni and Balan in Chamoli district had come up as model villages in the peas production. “The entire Chamoli district will get inspiration from these three villages that have become model villages in terms of horticulture”, Rawat pointed out.

Trivendra Rawat also took an opportunity to announce about developing apple orchards in Hargar and Dharpani villages of Gairsain. The Chief Minister also honoured students on the occasion, who had excelled in academics at various schools in Chamoli district. Earlier, the Chief Minister also visited various stalls at the fair.
