Ludhiana, Feburary 15

The Court of Additional and Sessions Judge Lukhvinder Kaur Duggal convicted Parveen Bala (36) of Mohala Chimni Road, Shimlapuri, and her brother-in-law Pardeep Kumar, alias Sonu, of Sahibzada Fateh Singh Nagar, Daba, Ludhiana, for killing her father-in-law over a property dispute.

The duo was ordered to undergo rigorous life imprisonment. A fine of Rs 10,000 each was also imposed. The court held that the prosecution had successfully proved the charges.
