London: Leading experts from the UK and Indian universities have launched the world''s largest study on babies with brain injuries in India this week to help prevent epilepsy.



London: Leading experts from the UK and Indian universities have launched the world's largest study on babies with brain injuries in India this week to help prevent epilepsy. The Imperial College London will lead the Prevention of Epilepsy by reducing Neonatal Encephalopathy study to try and reduce the number of epilepsy cases following perinatal brain injury. It will study around 80,000 women recruited from three major hospitals in South India – the Bangalore Medical College, the Madras Medical College and the Calicut Medical College. PTI

Kuala Lumpur: Malaysia's Immigration Department said it has broken up a China-based online investment scam syndicate with the arrest of 680 suspected Chinese citizens. Over 100 managed to flee. Immigration Director-General Khairul Dzaimee Daud said a building, used as the syndicate's call center in Cyberjaya, was raided after a month of surveillance. The detainees entered the country using social visit passes and couldn't produce their passports. AP
