Banks should keep interest rates low and other conditions normal while approving loans for students so that every student could be educated, said RK Thakkar, Executive Director, Dena Bank, at a mega credit camp organised for consumers from Chandigarh, Himachal Pradesh and Haryana here today.
During the camp, agricultural loans of Rs 10 crore were approved, loans of Rs 150 crore were distributed for setting up small and medium scale industries and lending of Rs 27 crore was approved for education purpose, said Thakkar.
MK Sharma, General Manager, Dena Bank, said approval letters for loans of Rs 350 crore were distributed among customers.
