Experts lift water samples from Sukhna

Chandigarh, December 24

A team of experts from the National Institute of High Security Animal Diseases Laboratory, Bhopal, and Regional Disease Diagnostic Laboratory (RDDL), Jalandhar, today collected water samples from Sukhna Lake.

The team also collected blood samples of migratory birds. A senior official of the UT Administration said the samples would be sent to the Bhopal lab.

Besides, the staff of the UT Animal Husbandry Department also collected 40 samples from poultry farms.

New UT Adviser Vijay Kumar Dev took stock of the bird flu situation. He said he was satisfied with the steps taken to deal with the issue.
