Maharashtra council panel summons Kunal Kamra over remarks against Deputy CM Shinde

Maharashtra's privileges committee summoned Kunal Kamra and Sushma Andhare for allegedly insulting Deputy CM Eknath Shinde. The hearing was rescheduled to February 17 after Andhare's request. Failure to appear could lead to action. The summons followed a breach of privilege notice over their remarks about Shinde's 2022 rebellion.

Privileges panel takes up Thanesar MLA’s plaint over scuffle, notices issued

A scuffle between a Congress MLA and a BJP councillor's husband led to a breach of privilege complaint. The Committee of Privileges issued notices to four individuals, including three BJP leaders and an official, for their actions during a municipal council meeting. The committee will examine the matter on August 5th.

Shamsher Singh Mehta, former Western Army Commander; Shri Paramjit Singh Patwalia, Senior Advocate in the Supreme Court.

THE TRIBUNE is free, objective, and independent. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language, are the hallmarks of the paper.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
