Stray dogs shouldn’t have to serve as sentinels for street kids
The Supreme Court case regarding Delhi's stray dogs highlights a deeper issue: the state's failure to protect street children. Dogs often provide protection, exposing a critical governance vacuum. While animal welfare is addressed, children's needs for shelter and safety are neglected. This situation demands a re-evaluation of priorities and increased action to address child homelessness.
