A painters’ workshop was held during the fortnight-long Virasat Cultural Festival, organised by REACH the Rural Entrepreneurship for Art & Cultural Heritage (REACH), here today. The workshop was organised under the guidance of Satyapal, head of of the department of arts, Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi.
He was accompanied by two professors of College of Arts, Delhi, Prof Ramesh and Abhimanyu.
Prof Ramesh has a unique take on art. He said art was the nourishment of the soul, thus everyone had a different take on it. He said it should be left to the individual to interpret it in one’s own way.
Another artist from Delhi, Bhartti Verma, said she liked to mix her mediums. An expert in oils and installations, she had shown her works at various places. An impressionist, she uses the cross-hatching technique with pen and oil.
