Pooja and Aarti, the Sonepat sisters who had accused three Aasan village boys of molesting them on board a moving bus on November 28, underwent the lie-detector test at a CBI laboratory in New Delhi today.

All three accused in the case have already undergone the polygraph test while the complainants underwent the test today. An SIT official accompanying them said the test reports, which were expected soon, would help them get to the bottom of the matter.

The sisters’ lawyer, AS Pawar, said uncomfortable questions were posed to Pooja and Aarti during the polygraph test which would be revealed tomorrow.

On the other hand, counsel for the accused, Sandeep Rathee, stated that the polygraph test was okay but the police were dragging its feet over impounding the sisters’ mobile phone and taking into consideration other evidence in favour of the boys, including several eyewitness accounts.“No FIR has been lodged against the girls despite our repeated requests,” he lamented.

The sisters had alleged that the Aasan boys had molested them on board the moving bus, following which they (sisters) thrashed them.
