Satisfied with govt’s showing in 58 days, says Khattar

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today said the government would constitute an inquiry panel to investigate the Vadra-DLF land deals as per the parameters of law.

“I cannot disclose more at this juncture, as it’s a confidential matter,” he said after his ‘khulla darbar’ at RKSD College here.

On allegations of going slow on the state’s development, Khattar said the government was not in haste to take any step. “The government wants overall development of the state, as it suffered from regional discrimination in the past 10 years under former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda.”

The Chief Minister expressed satisfaction at the working of his 58-day-old government. He, though, admitted that the government might be unable to redress all complaints, but complainants should have patience. “It takes time to address some complaints. People should not make this an issue,” Khattar said.

Khattar did not make any big announcements for Kaithal. He accepted demands of local leaders to open a women’s college in the Guhla Cheeka Assembly constituency and upgrade the Civil Hospital. The Chief Minister insisted on the best use of available resources and said the state had enough natural resources to make it richer.

CM announces to upgrade Karnal gurukul to college
Anjanthali (Karnal): Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today announced to upgrade Guru Brahmanand Kanya Gurukul in Anjanthali village, around 27 km from here, to a college. Complainants return disappointed 
Kaithal: Hundreds of people returned disappointed from Khattar’s ‘khula darbar’ held at RKSD College here on Wednesday, as their complaints went not heard. People had started arriving at the college ground from 1 pm and waited for the Chief Minister for four hours in biting cold. Khattar reached the venue around 5 pm, almost an hour behind schedule. Some of the complainants alleged the organisers did not inform them the time of CM's arrival. “If the CM cannot spare time to hear people's grievances, the cosmetic exercise of organising ‘khula darbars’ should be done away with,” said Lajwanti, who was pushed by Khattar’s commandos when she managed to reach the stage after much struggle. The Chief Minister collected the complaints in writing and said that steps would be taken to redress the grievances.  — TNS
